“Being able to pull up multiple .ptx files in ClipMap and spot clips directly into my active timeline in seconds has completely transformed my daily output.”
“You don’t realize how much time you lose switching between sessions until that bottleneck is gone. It’s a massive time-saver, and honestly, something Avid should have addressed a long time ago.”
How can ClipMap open Pro Tools sessions without Pro Tools?
A Pro Tools session is a file on your drive, like any other document. ClipMap reads it directly, shows its tracks, clips, fades and memory locations, and plays the audio and video files the session points to. Pro Tools does not need to be installed or open. You only need it when you send clips into it, and then it runs on the same computer.
Does ClipMap change my session or media?
No. ClipMap only reads your sessions and media. It never writes anything into your session or media folders.
Which computers does it run on?
Windows 10 or later (64-bit), and macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel. The same license works on both.
What is the difference between ClipMap and ClipMap Pro?
ClipMap opens, plays and searches sessions and drags one clip at a time into Pro Tools. ClipMap Pro adds spotting, video, transcripts, several sessions at once and workspaces. Compare them on the pricing page.
Can I try it first?
Yes. The 14-day trial is ClipMap Pro with every feature. Download ClipMap and start the trial with your email address. If you buy, you keep the same license key.
Is it a subscription?
No. ClipMap is a one-time purchase.
How many computers can I use?
ClipMap Pro: two computers you own, used one at a time. ClipMap: one computer. You can move a license to a new computer from your account at account.sparks.audio.
Does ClipMap need an internet connection?
Yes, when it starts: ClipMap checks your license each time you open it. If the connection drops while it is open, it keeps working. Facilities that need offline activation can ask about Enterprise on the pricing page.
Where do I find my license key?
In your purchase email, and in your account at account.sparks.audio.
