New features
Track Columns
You can now see Comments, Inserts A-E, Inserts F-J, Inputs, Outputs and Volume meters on every channel, just like in Pro Tools.
- Show Comments. Track comments sit between the meters and the inserts, same place as Pro Tools’ Comments view. Off by default.
- Show Inserts Hover a slot for letter, plug-in name, and state.
- Show I/O & Volume. Input, output, and fader volume.
Clip Groups
ClipMap now reads Pro Tools clip groups and draws them on the timeline.
- Support for all types of clip groups, including imported and nested clip groups.
- Settings: Show clip groups (on by default) and Clip groups are selectable (off by default).
Nested Folder Tracks
Fixed an issue where folders nested within folders could display incorrectly under certain conditions.
Clip Colour and Track Visibility
- ClipMap now reads the Default Clip Color Coding from the session. Settings has a matching control: From session, Tracks and MIDI Channels, or Track Color. A clip you coloured yourself keeps its colour either way.
Enhanced Drag ’n’ Drop
Much clearer visual information and significant improvements when working with multi-clip operations across multiple channels.
- A tip next to the pointer says what the drop will do while you are still dragging: which part of Pro Tools you are over, whether tracks will be created, and what will happen to the media.
- Settings → Drag and drop import chooses Copy, Add, or Convert. Default is Copy.
- Command during the drag flips between Copy and Add for that drop.
Playback and media
- MXF plays directly. ClipMap no longer converts MXF to WAV.
- What you hear matches the volume lane the session actually uses.
- The waveform now always reflects clip gain. The clip gain toggle now only hides the gain line.
- Clip gain breakpoints are now correctly placed.
Clip inspector and session info
- Clip inspector now shows the media file path, not just a disk name.
- Clip inspector now shows the file’s modified time when that is known.
- Windows → Session Info reports clip groups and which session features were not fully read or were degraded.
Updates
- On https://account.sparks.audio/account the license holder can pick Stable or Beta. The next restart follows the account choice.
Improvements
macOS
- Cold open from Finder or a deep link opens the session instead of ignoring it.
